Boston College – US News and World Report ranks Boston College 37th among national universities and also fields national ranking football, hockey and basketball teams.

Boston University – Originally founded in 1839 in Vermont, transferred to New Hampshire in 1847 and finally to Boston in 1867, Boston University is internationally recognized as a top institution of learning and research.
